Hailing from the sunny little peninsula otherwise known as Saint Petersburg, Florida, Chad Jacobs knew from a very young age that drawing pretty pictures was something he would like to do for a living.
Chad got his humble beginnings drawing Power Rangers on his homework assignments; upon earning his BFA in Illustration at the Savannah College of Art and Design, he now knows to draw his Power Rangers on nice expensive paper. His preferred mediums are Prismacolor Markers, Watercolors, and Pen & Ink. While once vehemently against anything to do with technology, you may even catch him working digitally every now and then.
Currently, Chad is back in Saint Petersburg and has worked as a Graphic Designer for local companies such as American Stage, Feld Entertainment, Girl Scouts of West Central Florida, St. Petersburg Shakespeare Festival, The Palladium, the now closed Florida International Museum, and the newly opened Fairgrounds St. Pete. He also contributed artwork to Fairgrounds’ inaugural installation Floridarama and has had art featured in shows at Mize Gallery and Atelier de SoSi Gallery.
In his downtime, Chad is an avid cinephile, a connoisseur of terrible puns, and enjoys being held in the loving embrace of hot tea and cool jams. To get in touch with him, you can recite his name in the mirror five times by candlelight or send an e-mail to chad.d.jacobs@gmail.com.
